More recently, my research interests lie in Lattice QCD. In describing nanostructures it is necessary to differentiate between the number of dimensions on the nanoscale. It represents the fraction of the excited or injected electron–hole pairs that recombine to emit a photon, and it is defined as the ratio of the radiative rate to the total recombination rate.
